Eleonora’s research is on safety and accident risks of all transport modes (road, maritime, rail, aviation), with emphasis on the complex interaction between user, vehicle, technology and environment. She uses quantitative methods and AI applications for identifying and managing transport risks and their uncertainties. Her research aims to build bridges between engineering and human factors in transport safety, taking into account the value dimension and the ethical issues involved.
